Mandatory day off: October 1st, 2024

As previously announced in our legal alert earlier this year, October 1, 2024, will be a mandatory day off.

Although the current Federal Labor Law still designates December 1st as the official date, since 2014, an amendment to Article 83 of the Political Constitution has established October 1st as the day of the Federal Executive transition.

This is independent of the fact that, in the coming days, the reform to Article 74 of the Federal Labor Law, already approved by the Senate, will be officially published, changing the official day from December 1st to October 1st.

Should you have any questions or comments regarding the foregoing, please do not hesitate to call your usual contact in the Firm.
