Mexico Joins the “Hague System”

Dear Clients and Friends,

On March 6, 2020, Mexico deposited its instrument of accession to the Geneva Act (1999) for its inclusion to the HAGUE CONVENTION for the International Registration of Industrial Designs, becoming the 74th Member.

This International Treaty will enter into force on June 6, 2020 and, in accordance with it, Mexican inventors will be able to register their Industrial Designs in all Member States of the HAGUE SYSTEM as of that date.

Mexico is the only Latin American country that is a party to this treaty.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to know more about the HAGUE SYSTEM and how you can protect your Industrial Designs in all the member jurisdictions.
