Online registration requests before INDAUTOR

Through agreement published on December 8 in the Official Gazette of the Federation, the National Institute of Copyright (INDAUTOR) set forth the legal framework for the online filing, processing, and resolution of applications for the registration and copyright of original works. The purpose is to facilitate the processing of these filings by electronic means.

The most relevant aspects of the agreement are the following:

The agreement will enter into force 15 days after its publication. Two months after such date, all emails related to the following accounts will be disabled: registro.contingencia@cultura.gob.mx and obra.contingencia@cultura.gob.mx

The records and resolutions pending at the closing date will be sent to those concerned within the next 15 working days.
