BIO

Ruth María Jagou has more than five years of experience practicing law. Currently, her practice focuses on corporate and transactional law matters. She has professional experience as an attorney in the construction materials industry for a leading company in the state of Chihuahua. Her background includes drafting and reviewing contracts, supporting corporate transactions, and providing ongoing advice to business areas. She has also designed and implemented legal risk mitigation strategies in the areas of labor, environmental, and mining.

She has provided advice on corporate governance, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and has trained operational and managerial staff in risk management, compliance, and best practices. She has comprehensive experience in mergers and acquisitions projects, covering multidisciplinary due diligence, risk management, contract structuring and negotiation, regulatory procedures, and post-closing integration.

Regarding intellectual property, she has conducted feasibility analyses, trademark registration and maintenance, and handled potential infringements. In labor matters, she has collaborated with the human resources department in the drafting of contracts, internal policies, discrimination prevention, and conflict management and negotiations. In environmental matters, she has assisted in inspections by federal and local authorities, managing requirements, coordinating internal audits, and designing action and remediation plans to ensure regulatory compliance.
