Second Stage of Renewal for the Registration of Specialized Service Providers

In accordance with the labor reform published on April 23, 2021, the outsourcing of personnel was prohibited and only the outsourcing of specialized services or execution of specialized works is allowed for companies registered before the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) as Specialized Service Providers (REPSE). The registration of each company, according to the reform, will be valid for 3 (three) years from its issuance.

More than three years after the reform, the expiration dates of the REPSE registrations have arrived, so it is necessary to renew or obtain the updated Registration again.

The STPS has included new requirements for granting the renewal and/or obtaining the REPSE Registrations for the first time.

In case of rendering specialized services or contracting specialized services without the REPSE Registration, fines ranging from 2,000 to 5,000 UMAs will be imposed, in addition to the labor liabilities that may arise from the non-compliance. Likewise, from a tax point of view, consequences are established for non-compliance with the reform, such as the non-deductibility of invoices issued for the rendering of Specialized Services in non-compliance with the reform.

In accordance with the above, we invite you to process in due time and form the renewal of your REPSE Registration, confirm that your specialized service providers have renewed their registration, or obtain it in case you provide specialized services and do not have the Registration.
