BIO

Cristina brings over 8 years of experience in the legal field, with a strong focus on Corporate Law for more than 6 years, she has advised multiple transnational companies on their investments and maquila operations throughout Mexico.

Her practice focuses on Corporate Law, handling a wide array of matters to ensure full legal compliance of business operations in Mexico. From managing corporate governance to negotiating and drafting all types of commercial contracts, Cristina has been involved in numerous processes, including company incorporations, liquidations, mergers, and spin-offs, and has also played a key role in due diligence processes and in the completion of complex transactions related to the acquisition of business operations, entities, and real estate.

She is also highly experienced in advising companies on privacy and data protection policies, as well as managing subcontracting operations, which includes obtaining and maintaining REPSE authorizations and restructuring both third-party and intercompany operations to meet outsourcing regulations.

Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Cristina served as a legal analyst for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), where she participated in the assessment of  the justice system in Mexico.

• Law Degree, Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (with a Recognition of Outstanding Performance on her graduation exam).
• Diploma in Data Protection and Privacy Regulation, Escuela Libre de Derecho.
• International Exchange, Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, India.
