BIO

Jorge has more than five years of experience advising on foreign investment in Mexico, the sports law industry, regulatory compliance—including data protection, environmental, and labor matters—and corporate law.
He has been involved in negotiating and closing complex transactions, including television rights, sponsorship agreements with betting companies, corporate restructurings, and the establishment of management, guarantee, and franchise trusts. His experience also includes goods transportation, acquisitions of federal assets through concessions or loan-for-use (comodato) agreements, as well as the organization of sporting events sanctioned by FIFA and the Mexican Football Federation (FMF).

He currently advises private sector clients on the incorporation of companies and corporate vehicles for their operations; obtaining registrations and authorizations; contractual advisory and negotiations; transportation of goods; mergers and acquisitions; corporate governance; confidentiality and personal data protection obligations; and environmental compliance—including waste, water, air, and environmental impact assessments—at the federal, state, and municipal levels.

He served as in-house General Counsel for FC Juárez, a first-division professional football club, for more than three years. In this role, he led and oversaw matters related to sponsorships, advertising exchanges, television and radio rights, concessions, transfers of federative rights for players, corporate structuring, and labor compliance, among others.

He is a professor of Legal Logic and Environmental Law at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez and has served as a guest lecturer in seminars and courses on Theory of the State at Universidad Adela de Cornejo.
