EC Legal Rubio Villegas incorporated Eduardo Cervera as partner and Mariana Olascoaga as senior associate in its Mexico City office to expand its Intellectual Property area. This strategic association responds to the growing need for a greater number of experts in intellectual and industrial property matters to help the Firm’s clients face the challenges in these matters represented by the upcoming ratification of the T-MEC, the homogenization of national laws with the protection figures in the international arena, the new regulations in the field of patents and technological development.
Prior to joining the Firm, Eduardo was a founding partner of Bufete Cervera-Rojas where he headed the Patent, Trademark and Copyright Department. With more than 25 years of experience, Eduardo’s practice includes consultancy in Industrial and Intellectual Property matters in all its areas and fields of application. He has experience in the protection, registration and litigation of patents, trademarks and copyrights. He is also experienced in the negotiation of technology transfer agreements, license of use and exploitation of patents and trademarks, assignment of patent rights, trademarks and copyrights, negotiations of maquila contracts for products for the pharmaceutical industry, as well as in the daily operations of a business.
Eduardo is a member of more than 10 national and international institutions and associations dedicated to Industrial and Intellectual Property.
Mariana Olascoaga worked at the Cervera-Rojas Law Firm for the last three years and is also an expert in Intellectual and Industrial Property matters.
