On December 3, 2025, the National Minimum Wage Commission (Conasami), composed of representatives from the government, labor, and business sectors, reached a unanimous consensus to increase the minimum wage by a total of 13% for 2026.
As a result, effective January 1, 2026, the General Minimum Wage will increase from MXN $278.80 per day to MXN $315.04 per day. This adjustment consists of a 6.5% increase plus MXN $17.01 corresponding to the Independent Recovery Amount (MIR).
Regarding the General Minimum Wage applicable in the Northern Border Free Zone, it will rise from MXN $419.88 per day to MXN $440.87 per day, representing a 5% increase.
Additionally, Professional Minimum Wages will also be subject to a 13% increase, effective January 1, 2026.
This resolution will be published in the coming days in the Official Gazette of the Federation.
