Dear Clients and Friends,

Today, April 21, 2020, an Agreement (the “New Agreement”) amending the Agreement of March 31, 2020 (the “Original Agreement”) that enacted extraordinary actions to handle the sanitary emergency caused by the SARS-CoV2 virus, was published on the evening edition of the Official Gazette of the Federation.

The most important points that we deem of your interests are the following:

1. Section I of the Article First of the Original Agreement is amended to extend its validity through May 30, 2020, including the suspension of non-essential activities.

2. The extraordinary actions to handle the sanitary emergency caused by the SARS-CoV2 virus will end as of May 18, 2020, in such municipalities that on such date report low or no SARS-CoV2 virus transmission.

3. The Federal Health Ministry will define the criteria to evaluate the SARS-CoV2 transmission intensity, as well as any other element related with the propagation risk of the disease and vulnerability of the affected locations.

4. Likewise, the ministry will establish the guidelines to reduce the mobility between municipalities with different propagation rates, with the purpose of avoiding the disease spreading.

5. In all cases, regardless of the transmission intensity reported at municipalities, the measure set forth by the Original Agreement for the protection of high risk groups will continue until further notice.

It is important to mention that the Agreement still does not indicate how the employees’ salaries must be paid.

We will keep close attention to the communications that the Sanitary Authorities will keep issuing regarding this matter to keep you informed, as well as available to answer any questions regarding this latest communication.
