Dear Clients and Friends,
Gerardo Sánchez Vallejo joins EC Legal Rubio Villegas as an Of counsel to lead the Intellectual Property area in the Querétaro office.
Gerardo has 20 years of experience advising companies and individuals on intellectual property matters, such as patents, utility models, industrial designs, industrial secrets, trademarks, commercial notices and copyright.
Under his leadership, he has pursued strategies for the protection of intellectual property in Mexico, the United States, the European Union, Asia and Latin America.
Through the network of correspondents that Gerardo Sánchez has formed during his years of experience, EC Legal Rubio Villegas now offers this service throughout the country and anywhere in the world.
“Intellectual property is the most valuable intangible asset for our clients and that is why it must be reviewed, protected and consolidated in order to be opposable to potential infringers. There is no single business that does not have intellectual property to protect,” said Javier Canseco, member of EC Legal Rubio Villegas‘ Management Committee.
“Joining EC Legal Rubio Villegas represents a great professional challenge to me given the importance of its clients in the commercial, manufacturing, mining, aeronautics and automotive areas. In addition to the above, I feel very proud of belonging to a firm as well known as EC Legal Rubio Villegas,” said Gerardo Sánchez.
Gerardo holds a Law Degree at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). He also holds a Master’s Degree in Economic Law at the UAM, earning the University Merit Medal.
He regularly participates as a speaker in various national and foreign forums dealing with intellectual property issues.
In addition to the above, he has experience in the field of Notarial Law, since he served as a Candidate to Notary in the Notary Public 26 of the City of Querétaro, for 15 years.
