The following changes were made, according to the type of condition of stay:

1.-TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT RESIDENTS

  • They must present the passport and the CARD at the INM’s internment module, for NO REASON, they must use the automatic machines for entry, at the present time and until new indications these machines are only enabled for the entry of TOURISTS (BUSINESS VISITORS) in the modality of autonomous migratory filters.
  • Upon entry, they will go to the INM internment module and show their passport (and VISA if they have one) so that the immigration officer can SCAN and STAMP their passport and write “RT” or “RP” on the stamp, depending on the condition of the foreigner’s stay, WITHOUT INDICATING ANY TEMPORARY PERIOD.

2.-TOURIST / BUSINESS VISITOR

  • In the case of tourist/business visitor, the immigration officer shall note ON THE SEAL the temporality and type of stay. When the immigration officer scans the foreigner’s passport, the information and entry is recorded. The physical multiple migratory form (FMM) is no longer issued, if required, the new digital multiple migratory form must be processed online through the following web page: www.inm.gob.mx/spublic/portal/inmex.html
  • All persons who, due to their nationality, require a visa to enter Mexico and who do not have a Resident status in Mexico, will be required to present a “VISITOR VISA without lucrative activities” to board any aircraft whose final or intermediate destination is Mexico, regardless of the length of stay, even those who only transfer from one flight to another.

Nationals traveling to Mexican territory under the immigration facilitation measures provided for in Article 26 of the Guidelines for Immigration Procedures and Proceedings, as amended and published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on May 17, 2016, applicable to the bearers of the following documents, will not be required to present the Electronic Authorization form or Mexican visa:

  • Document that proves permanent residence in Canada, United States of America, Japan, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, any of the countries that integrate the Schengen Area, as well as the member countries of the Pacific Alliance.
  • Valid and in force visa from Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or any of the countries that make up the Schengen Area.
