On December 16, 2024, several decrees were published in the evening edition of the Federal Official Gazette, aiming to eliminate the gender payment gap.

This gap is defined as the difference in wages between women and men for work of equal value, attributed solely to gender.

Moreover, the concept of discrimination that we currently understand it has been expanded through amendments not only to the Federal Labor Law, but also to the General Law for Equality between Women and Men and the General Law on Women’s Access to a Life Free of Violence, and other related legislation.

These decrees came into effect the day after their publication in the Federal Official Gazette.

Considering these reforms, we encourage you to review and update your existing policies, regulations, and protocols to ensure compliance with the new legal framework.
