On December 1st, 2023, the National Minimum Wage Commission reached a unanimous agreement, determining a 20% global increase to the minimum wage for the year 2024.

Starting January 1st, the General Minimum Wage will rise from $207.44 Mexican pesos per day to $248.93 Mexican pesos per day. This increase comprises a 6% base raise, along with an additional $27.40 Mexican pesos, designated as the Independent Recovery Amount (MIR).

For the General Minimum Wage in the Free Zone of the Northern Border, there will be an increase from $312.41 Mexican pesos per day to $374.89 Mexican pesos per day. This adjustment includes a 6% raise and an extra $41.26 Mexican pesos, allocated as the MIR.

Additionally, Professional Minimum Wages will experience a 20% increase, effective January 1st, 2024.

The detailed information will be officially published in the Federal Official Gazette in the upcoming days.
