NOM-006-STPS-2023, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on March 7, 2024, refers to the storage and handling of materials through the use of machinery and safety conditions at work, and will come into force 180 calendar days after its publication. This Standard governs and sets forth the health and safety conditions that must be met in workplaces to avoid risks to employees who carry out storage and material handling activities using machinery.
The aforementioned Standard contains a list of obligations for companies, ranging from maintenance, operation, use of machinery, training, emergency management, manuals and records that must be implemented.
